Jimmy Johnson Wins at Fontana....

Well, the race finally got underway! Yeah!!

Wow on that Michael Waltrip flame-filled wreck! I'm glad he got out okay, but goodness...I was wondering when the rescue guys where going to actually use the fire extinguishers when he was obviously struggling to get out of his car WITH flames and smoke around him. Had to smile at the observation that he smelled like smoke...duh.

Carl Edwards had a good race...too bad for the mishap on pit lane early on...although he didn't seem to suffer...it has to play mind games with you.

Dale Jr. had a good race...but dang...don't know how he can possibly make up that much of a deficit with just one race left to get into the Chase.

Of course this win gives Johnson another of the NASCAR bonus 10 bump going into the Chase as well.

Dale Earnhardt Jr....and his numbers game

This numbers business about what number Jr will use on his car is still playing on strong.

Every other article is Jr. number this and Jr. number that.

Funny after that commercial they had where he changed his number...and then said just kidding. ha

Hope the race is a good one tonight. Glad to hear that Brad Keselowski was released from the hospital. That crash last night in the Busch race was brutal.

Still waiting for Fontana...

Well...almost 6pm and still waiting on NASCAR. Apparently it is hot, hot, hot...as that seems to be the jest of all the reporting.

Like did someone miss the memo that it is hot in California in early September?

But it was fun to see Mike Joy reporting from the old track. Entertaining...while I wait.

Late California NASCAR Racing

Ahhhhhh...it's noon and where is NASCAR.

Oh yeah, it's in California.

Bah.
